The way it looks and behaves reminds of medium-toned teal sapphires –it doesn’t display the usual ‘closed’ color and heavy blackish undertone, at least not to the significant degree to which Ceylon spinels so often do.
It has a slight color shift and appears bright teal-blue in indirect daylight outdoors, greenish blue in low intensity daylight, and greyish-violetish-blue in fluorescent light.
