A reddish orange spinel from Sri Lanka.
Its hue is comprised of about 80% orange, with another 20% or so red adding depth to the overall hue and saturation so the final result looks pretty stunning. It almost looks like a crystallized ember.
We didn't recut it since it has only 0.06 ct. to spare before 4.00 and the price couldn't bear the weight loss, but it's a good cut as far as commercial cuts go.
