A bright and superbly crisp looking vivid blue sapphire. The stone has absolutely exceptional “crystal” with an almost watery transparency to it, kind of like looking at blue ink in water.
Its hue is pure and saturated, its clarity is excellent, and it’s also well cut after we had it recut from its initial 1.25 carats to remove the window that it had.
The area around the culet has a zone of cyan in it that seamlessly blends into the surrounding deeper blue. The images show this quite clearly, but it’s a bit more difficult to notice this in person as the colors intertwine through the brilliance.
