The actual color ended up being a bit more difficult than usual to translate into the photos in this case, so it would be fair to say that it looks nicer in reality than the pictures would suggest.
Sapphires from Madagascar often have gardens of tiny crystals in them and this one is no exception – but absolutely not a single one is visible to the eye, and they also don’t impact its brilliance at all. The stone is completely eye clean when checking as close as the unaided eye can focus, but the crystals do still show up under a macro lens since the magnification is greater than even the standard 10x loupe.
