This is such an unusual "military fatigue" type of hue that on first glance it felt a bit unlikely that it could even be a sapphire. It’s not a color one would expect to see in corundum.
What makes the already unique color all the more interesting is the fact that it also displays a color change: under 2700 – 3000K incandescent light, the stone turns entirely coppery-looking with not even a hint of the original green remaining anywhere in it.
In direct sunlight, the color change possibility is hinted at by the dispersed reddish-orange flashes in its otherwise completely even green hue.
Daylight color variations could be described as army, olive and khaki, while in incandescent light it ranges from brownish orange to yellowish copper.
Well cut, unheated and eye clean.

The only website where all gems get diligently color-matched and edited for accuracy until they reflect what the eye sees in diffused daylight outdoors.
Accurately represented in practical terms rather than abstract grading systems. When we say "eye clean", we really mean it as close up as the eyes can focus.
No commercial cuts here - all of our stones are recut to a high standard for added value, rarity and beauty.
