Round, vividly blue and very well cut.
The stone was recut from a badly made and polished round of 1.76 carats in order to center its table and culet and redo its facet arrangement which was all over the place. It is much better off for it, and now has a cut that befits its fine color.
Like many Malagasy sapphires, this blue carries the signature of its source deposit at Ilakaka in the form of tiny crystal inclusions (of most likely microscopic zircon) scattered throughout it. Despite this however, it is completely eye clean on close up inspection as they’re simply too small to be visible to the unaided eye on a 6.5 mm stone.

The only website where all gems get diligently color-matched and edited for accuracy until they reflect what the eye sees in diffused daylight outdoors.
Accurately represented in practical terms rather than abstract grading systems. When we say "eye clean", we really mean it as close up as the eyes can focus.
No commercial cuts here - all of our stones are recut to a high standard for added value, rarity and beauty.
