A wonderful, crystal-clear blue sapphire in the always popular round shape. The stone is eye clean and well cut and the hue is bright and well saturated, with plenty of brilliance.
It was recut from a windowed blue round of 1.25 carats – and initially we were worried that the color might change for the worse, but the recut ended up paying off when the stone went from intense to vivid blue. It’s very rare for the color of an already attractive blue sapphire to actually improve by grinding the crystal away even further, but it does happen on occasion.
It’s a classic high quality round blue with no downsides to speak of.
