A gorgeous untreated purple sapphire.
This particular hue would already be considered rare in heated sapphires, but it’s so much rarer in unheated ones.
It has plenty of colorful sparkle and depending on the environment, shows flashes of blue, violet, lavender and pink (especially in direct sunlight). It's not color zoned however and it holds its color very well, appearing evenly and beautifully balanced in diffused daylight indoors and outdoors. It shifts to a pinkish orchid purple in incandescent light, but keeps it saturation and purity of hue.
Unlike most purple sapphires, it doesn’t suffer from muted greyish or brownish undertones in any type of light.
