A beautiful Ceylon blue sapphire straight out of a friend’s mine. They initially cut it into a 1.60-odd carat oval with a considerable window, but we had it recut into its more presentable current form.
The stone is almost loupe clean (but for a tiny crystal near the girdle) and has brilliance and saturation to spare.
A really nice quality Ceylon blue, not much else to say.
