A perfectly balanced vivid blue sapphire hovering squarely between trade terms ‘cornflower’ and ‘royal’ – vividly saturated but not as dark as a royal blue, while also not as silky as a cornflower blue.
The stone is bright and lively and stays persistently, gorgeously blue whether it’s sun, rain or snow. It brightens up with an electric blue splash of color if seen outdoors, while indoors it glows a more subdued, darker blue which is probably the reason why the lab graded it royal blue (though we consider ‘vivid blue’ to be more accurate overall).
