A “mismatched” pair of fancy cut sapphires.
They were initially cut out of Madagascan rough into two completely separate stones and it was only when we put them next to each other that we realized they could have been a pair, so we had the larger pink cut again to match the blue. Now they match very well in size, and the two different colors go together beautifully despite the different hues because they’re matched in tone and saturation.
