The hue is incredibly pure, bright and eye-catching which is saying a lot since unheated sapphires often greyish, dull or too dark and it takes a lot of searching and luck to find an eye-catching, coldly crystalline blue like this instead.
The stone has a single crystal near the girdle that is only visible when it’s oriented in a particular way – it doesn’t show up most of the time, so it can be said that the clarity shifts between eye clean and very, very slightly included. It’s a tiny crystal though, and a tiny compromise for a color this pure and vivid in this size.
