A chrysoberyl cat’s eye with a well-centered, prominent ray and a well-made cut.
The stone’s central feature – the ray – is its greatest strength: it is uniform, unbroken, clearly visible and strong enough to show that telltale high quality effect of splitting into two in mixed or low light and re-unifying when more light is shined onto it.
The stone’s clarity is also very good.
In this case, the face-up look merits the “eye clean” grade, but it does have two tiny naturals visible from the girdle which would become impossible to see when set.

The only website where all gems get diligently color-matched and edited for accuracy until they reflect what the eye sees in diffused daylight outdoors.
Accurately represented in practical terms rather than abstract grading systems. When we say "eye clean", we really mean it as close up as the eyes can focus.
No commercial cuts here - all of our stones are recut to a high standard for added value, rarity and beauty.
