The Tunduru region of southern Tanzania has been famous for producing bluish-tinted light green chrysoberyls for almost three decades now, and these super-rare stones have invariably stayed in high demand ever since they were first discovered in the 1990s.
It isn’t difficult to see why, as the color is very pleasant and chrysoberyl is more than durable enough for regular and even carefree daily wear (unlike most of its competitors in this hue range).
The blue tint in this pear is by far the most visible in the edges - the point and the base - while the middle shifts from pure light green to a slightly yellow-tinged green. The stone shifts a lot even generally speaking due to some chromium content, so it looks the best in daylight and under fluorescent light. Good for office wear and daylight both indoors and outdoors, but perhaps less so for candle-lit dinners.
While the colorless needles inside it are clearly visible in some of the macro closeups, the stone is absolutely eye clean in all lighting scenarios no matter how close up and carefully it’s observed.

The only website where all gems get diligently color-matched and edited for accuracy until they reflect what the eye sees in diffused daylight outdoors.
Accurately represented in practical terms rather than abstract grading systems. When we say "eye clean", we really mean it as close up as the eyes can focus.
No commercial cuts here - all of our stones are recut to a high standard for added value, rarity and beauty.
