“Bright, peachy and unique” aptly describes this very well cut spessartite garnet from Mahenge, Tanzania.
The stone is quite rare in its own category in that it has an uncommon pastel apricot/peach type of hue, but still shows excellent (intense to vivid) saturation nonetheless. On top of that it’s almost loupe clean, which is exceptional even for spessartites of far more common colors.
